Big Brother: Why Cameron's revelation shouldn't be dismissed as 'gameplaying'

In a TV show where the loudest voice and most dominant character tends to snaffle the majority of the airtime, it is with great respect that quietly spoken Cameron Cole could deliver the biggest moment of this Big Brother series so far. The infamous house is usually for tears and tantrums but emotions have rarely been so genuine as during the few minutes when Cameron confirmed his sexuality publicly for the first time. It had seemed obvious for a lot of viewers of the Channel 5 show that Cameron was probably gay but it still took enormous courage to come out in such a public way but with such tear-inducing sensitivity. After one of the bravest moments of many a Big Brother series, it is unfair to see some viewers claim that this 'show' was 'gameplaying' and a controlled stunt. There were some that felt that the 18-year-old was manipulating the situation so that viewers would keep him in the Big Brother house until the final. It was a rare showing of reality o...

Strictly Come Dancing: Now is the time to find Anton du Beke a serious challenger for the Glitterball Trophy

Like him or loathe him, Anton du Beke is part of the Strictly furniture and always brings something a little different to the BBC dance competition. So, is it time for the Strictly bosses to pair him with a celebrity that might have a chance of making it past the Blackpool week? It is usually the case that Anton is partnered with one of the elder celebs on the list, which can often mean that he has someone that might not be at the peak of their dance capabilities. A lot of people have argued on social media that as the pro, Anton should lift these dance first-timers to a level they never thought capable of. He is often hindered though by getting a partner that is far behind the curve that he never stands a chance of getting near to winning the Glitterball Trophy. He's a Strictly legend and needs someone to help showcase his talent It feels that the series will sorely miss Anton this time around after the judges and viewers alike condemn Susannah Constantine's da...

Big Brother: Anamelia Silva has the perfect plan to destroy her housemates

Big Brother may have started as a 'social experiment' when it first arrived on our television screens but now it is one of the biggest games on TV. Every series, the new housemates say that they are going to win over the viewers by 'being themselves' and if that is not enough to win, at least they were 'true to themselves'. Of course, this ideal can only take you so far in the Big Brother house and if you are not 'playing a game' then you are very reliant on having a magical personality. So, step forward Anamelia Silva, the spiritual adviser that has a sixth sense for getting under the skin of her housemates. From the first couple hours of being in the house, she has driven a different housemate to distraction. Celebrity Big Brother: Why Roxanne Pallett's apology should be treated with contempt

Being in the Celebrity Big Brother house is an opportunity to change the fortunes of a career and is a place to show the world what they are missing. In short, an appearance on the Channel 5 show could be enough to change the lives of the housemates. With this in mind, former actress Roxanne Pallett has certainly ticked that box. It is fair to say that her work prospects will not be the same again and that she has achieved her goal of opening people's eyes to who she really is. Roxanne's work prospects will not be the same again What would've happened though if cameras hadn't caught the 'altercation' between Ryan and Roxanne? It would be Ryan being vilified and ruing his actions and being the only one that knows the truth. So, should we believe Roxanne when she say that she's sorry for what happened and that she may have overreacted due to the 'heightened tensions' in the house? There would certainly be no apology if the public thought sh...

Loose Women? Loose morals more like after hypocritical handling of Kim Woodburn

There are many that will think that Kim Woodburn has a lot coming to her, after a fiery Celebrity Big Brother stint and some noticeable public outbursts since. Whilst she is a bit of a loose cannon when it comes to live television, it is clear that she has had a lot to contend with as she battles demons of her own. So, it would seem slightly unfair that the producers would try to exploit her renown temperament in a veiled attempt of serious debate. From the moment the idea was muted of bringing Kim in to face her CBB nemesis Coleen Nolan, for 'clear-the-air' talks, it was probably privately hoped that she would kick-off. All involved with Loose Women must have been rubbing their hands in delight as the drama unfolded and Kim stormed off set, sending social media into a frenzy. It was unfair that producers looked to exploit Kim's temperament It was soon apparent though that this was not the most savoury incident to ever happen on the ITV daytime show. Public opini...

Celebrity Big Brother: Why the 'Banter Notes' should see Jermaine removed from the house

Morality is often low down on the list of priorities for the celebrities that enter the Big Brother house but there are times when the motives of the housemates need to be addressed. The eviction of Chloe Ayling was probably the right choice if this series is going to drag itself off the floor but her treatment by Jermaine Pennant should see the former footballer following her straight out the door. Controversy is what keeps the Channel 5 going and after Natalie Nunn was dumped in the public vote, there was a huge personality gap in the house. This was compounded by Rodrigo's removal, so there was a desperate need for someone to start the tongues wagging. What we didn't need though was Jermaine showing that he could have a bit of adulterous fun, just to brush it off as a bit of banter. After Chloe revealed all to the housemates about why they are on basic food rations and what was written in the secret communications between her and Jermaine, his reaction was more dis...

Celebrity Big Brother: Why this eviction could make or break the series

In practical terms, the next eviction on Tuesday night (August 28) is a straight choice between two housemates but in terms of this Celebrity Big Brother series, it could be make or break. After the eviction of Natalie Nunn and then the removal of Rodrigo Alves, there was a danger that the house would descend into normality and thus, be very forgettable. Hardeep is definitely not everyone's cup of tea in the house This coming eviction could seal the fate of the series as being one of the worst so far, unless the viewers make the right choice for the entertainment values of the show. Hardeep Singh Kohli is definitely not everyone's cup of tea in the house and he is quickly burning bridges left, right and centre. His interaction with others are almost certainly going to rub them up the wrong way but with two big personalities, surely he needs to stay - at least until others step up to the plate.
