Morality is often low down on the list of priorities for the celebrities that enter the Big Brother house but there are times when the motives of the housemates need to be addressed.
The eviction of Chloe Ayling was probably the right choice if this series is going to drag itself off the floor but her treatment by Jermaine Pennant should see the former footballer following her straight out the door.
Controversy is what keeps the Channel 5 going and after Natalie Nunn was dumped in the public vote, there was a huge personality gap in the house.
This was compounded by Rodrigo's removal, so there was a desperate need for someone to start the tongues wagging.
What we didn't need though was Jermaine showing that he could have a bit of adulterous fun, just to brush it off as a bit of banter.
After Chloe revealed all to the housemates about why they are on basic food rations and what was written in the secret communications between her and Jermaine, his reaction was more disgusting than anything that Natalie had done in her time in the house.

To say they were 'banter notes' and that his flirting and leading on of Chloe was nothing more than 'bants', really showed the real side of Jermaine and it leaves a bad taste in the mouth.
Worse than that, to try and secretly enforce upon Chloe what her reaction should be when she's out of the house, shows that his moral compass is barely working.
He was always a 'bad boy' among footballers but his deceitful actions in letting Chloe think that he was available (and single) and was actually interested in developing their relationship, should see him top any viewers' poll on who should go next.

It was little wonder that Emma Willis was fuming at his behaviour, when talking to the evicted Chloe and someone with the hardest hearts would have felt a pang of emotion when seeing the reality of the situation dawning on the hapless model.
Dismissing days of chasing and carousing as 'banter' is far too easy and sends out the wrong message to viewers. Jermaine should be vilified for this.
Getting him out of the house is the only way to enforce that this behaviour and loose morals are equally, if not worse, than someone venting off and getting under the skin of fellow housemates during most of the waking hours.
Oh yeah, good luck to Jermaine when he comes out of the house. His world may not be looking so rosy now.
