Celebrity Big Brother: Has the reality TV 'player' had their day as eviction notice looms for Natalie Nunn and Hardeep Singh Kohli?
There was a time when being a controversial personality in the Celebrity Big Brother house was a sure-fire way of heading to the final of the Channel 5 reality show.
Stephen Bear was crowned the CBB champion in 2016, on the back of being the most obnoxious character in the house and there seemed a time when bad behaviour would equal votes from viewers.
Times have changed now and the reality TV 'professionals' that go into the house to cause a furore, are finding their antics are being looked down upon.
Natalie Nunn clearly prides herself on being the 'baddest b*tch in the house' and where that may have elevated her to star status in the States, it has left a bad taste in the mouth over here in Blighty.
It is clear that Natalie wanted to dominate proceedings, get herself plenty of airtime with over-the-top antics and play by the 'reality TV rulebook' of confrontation and excess.
Unfortunately, swearing is not big and not clever and looking to be the biggest 'character' in the house has left her wanting.
There's a good chance that she will be the first back out of the house as viewers are equally incensed.
Of course, the dear old viewers have a choice to make.
Then there is Hardeep. If this was a school report, he would definitely be annotated as a 'trier'.
He seems to have gone into the house with a 'fight fire with fire' attitude and it has been cringey to watch.
It feels he is desperate to be the captain of the good ship CBB but his controlling hasn't washed and the housemates are keen for him to be pushed overboard.
When cooking and 'jokes' are your chief weapons and no-one is that bothered about either of them, then you are on a short road out of the house.
Trying to match Natalie on the outspoken, swearing loudly front will never be a winner and maybe we've already seen enough of Hardeep to believe that there isn't much more he can give.
Despite Natalie's obnoxious personality, she will certainly bring more moments to the show and could be worth giving her another week to really get her teeth into the housemates.
The troubling feel to this is that we have seen it all before and despite CBB bosses promising an explosive series, we may have had enough of reality TV 'players' looking to shock their way to the crown.
